Ethical Principles
International Journal for Research in Climatic Change & Earth Science adheres to the ethical principles and best-practice guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal is committed to maintaining integrity, transparency, and accountability throughout the editorial and publication process.
In line with COPE's Core Practices, editorial policies are regularly reviewed. Feedback from authors, reviewers, and editorial board members is encouraged to continuously enhance publication quality and uphold ethical standards.
Rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review
All manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review, conducted by qualified editorial board members and independent experts in the relevant subject areas.
Editorial checks ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to academic and ethical standards. Minor technical or language edits may be applied to improve readability without affecting the scholarly content.
Research Misconduct Policy
The journal follows COPE guidelines for research misconduct. Concerns may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Duplicate Submission
Duplicate submission or redundant publication of substantially similar research.
Plagiarism
Plagiarism or inappropriate reuse of text, data, or ideas without proper citation and attribution.
Data Fabrication or Falsification
Fabrication, falsification, manipulation, or misrepresentation of research data or findings.
When concerns arise, the editorial office performs an initial assessment following COPE flowcharts. Authors are contacted to provide clarification.
Appropriate corrective actions—such as corrections, notices, expressions of concern, or retractions—may be taken depending on the issue and in line with COPE recommendations. Unresolved matters may be referred to the authors' affiliated institutions.
Authorship & Contributorship Policy
The journal follows COPE guidance regarding authorship and contributorship. Requests for changes in authorship, including the addition or removal of an author or corresponding author, can be submitted before or after publication.
If consensus is reached among authors, the requested change will be implemented. If disputes remain unresolved, the manuscript or published article may be placed on hold, or the matter referred to the authors' affiliated institutions, consistent with COPE best practices.
